SPACE AGENCY APP GUIDE
Last updated June 22, 2020
The Space Agency Booking App provides users with access to all of the needed information for a concert or tour. Users include bands, artists, managers, agents, and music representatives that are registered within the Space Agency universe. There are two main objectives of the app: a) to provide show/deal information and b) to connect all of the users within the Space Agency app. See below for a guide through each of the applications components.
Login Screen:
Use your provided credentials (username and password) to login to the Space Agency application. Email joey@spaceagencybooking.com if you are in need of a new username or a password reset.
Home Screen:
The home screen displays your user name and profile image, as well as functions as the Space Chat room. Space Chat is essentially a form for all Space Agency users. Type a question, comment, or recommendation to connect to other users. This is a good place to ask for recommendations (backline, hotels, recording studios / practice spaces, etc) or to try and connect with other users to meet up when in certain cities.
Clicking on “type here“ in Space Chat will push the screen up to allow room for the mobile app keyboard. To escape the keyboard view, type anywhere on the Space Chat screen.
Click on a users name on the Space Chat screen to view their profile, or click on your own post to edit or delete it.
The transmission button in the top left corner of the page will display today’s show(s). From the pop up screen, you can also use the right pointing arrow to display tomorrow’s show(s).
See below for the ‘Edit Profile’ screen, ‘To-Do’ screen, and the menu navigator in the top right hand corner of the home screen.
Edit Profile Screen:
The default user image and display name are shown in the left image (Spaceman image / “Earthling..” display name). Click on the input box under each attribute to edit or update it. Click the save button on the bottom of the screen to save the new attributes to your profile.
To-Do List Screen:
The To-Do List displays the users private to-do’s. Click on the input box at the top of the screen (“type here"). Once you have your to-do written, click the ‘Add’ button to add it to save it, and add it to the screen. The pencil icon will allow you to edit the particular to-do or delete it. The blue check mark will mark the to-do as completed and remove it from the screen. If you click on a to-do, it will switch to alternate colors for that particular to-do.
Menu Navigator:
Clicking the menu icon in the upper right corner of the home screen will display the menu icon (see right image). Home Screen will navigate back to the home page (profile, to-do’s, space chat), Confirmed Deals will display upcoming confirmed shows, Pending Deals will display upcoming pending deals, and Past Deals will display all of the confirmed shows that have passed, along with their finals totals. Logout will log the user out of the application.
Confirmed Deals / Pending Deals / Past Deals:
Deal screens are very similar, so they will all be covered in this section. Deals are shown in date order. To search for a particular show, click on the search bar on the top of the screen and type your desired result. The search bar is case sensitive (i.e. - search would be for CA and not Ca, or San Francisco and not SAN francisco, as displayed in the screen to the right). To view a single deal page, click on the rocket icon on the right side of the deal.
Single Deal Screen (see right image):
The single deal screen will display all of the details for each show date on the app. Sections within the single deal screen include Show Info, Deal Terms, Contract and Deposits, Ticket Scaling, Taxes and Expenses, Merch, and Notes. There are a few tools, which will be explained below.
- Venue Notes: (icon - square with pencil) Users can post notes or recommendations about their experience at each venue for future users visiting the venue. Venue notes are visible to all Space Agency users. Once a note is submitted, it can be edited using the pencil icon on the right hand side of the note. If it was another user that posted the note, there is an option to use a spock hand to add a 'like' to the note.
- Map: (icon - map) Connector to google maps that adds a pinpoint to the map view with where the specific venue is located.
- Walkout Calculator: (icon - calculator) This is a tool that will allow users to calculate what their walkout potential/settlement should be the night of the show. By typing in the total number of tickets sold and hitting the submit button, the app will calculate and display the 'Projected Walkout' at the bottom of the screen.
- Ticket Scaling Breakdown: (icon - right pointing arrow) This displays the breakdown of ticket scaling.
- Expenses Breakdown: (icon - right pointing arrow) This displays the breakdown of taxes and expenses.
- Deal Notes: (icon - square with pencil) These are deal specific notes that a user can save onto the app. Only users that have access to the specific deal will be able to access and see these notes. This is a good place to note load-in/sound check times, hotel information, etc.
